Mizoram: In a first, compensation to be awarded to two parties claiming same plots of land so that work can begin

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will compensate both the forest department and landowners to resolve a land dispute. This decision allows the construction of a four-lane highway between Vairengte and Sairang to proceed. This is the first time compensation will be given to two parties for the same land in India.
