VB-G RAM G Act to come into force on July 1; revised wage rates notified
A new rural employment guarantee scheme, the Viksit Bharat -- Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, will commence on July 1, boosting the national average wage to Rs 327.4 per day. The Act guarantees up to 125 days of work, with a new interim base wage of Rs 300. States with lower historical wages will see significant increases, aiming to strengthen rural livelihoods and asset creation.
