NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026, but beyond the list of successful candidates, the numbers tell a bigger story. Compared to last year, significantly fewer aspirants have been shortlisted for both the Civil Services and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Main examinations, signalling a tighter selection process this year.
