The debate around glamour, objectification and female representation in mainstream cinema has once again come into focus after the makers of Peddi reportedly re-released the film with changes to scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor's character, following criticism over the overt sexualisation of the heroine. Actor Ragini Dwivedi, who recently announced R2 — a continuation and franchise extension of her 2014 film Ragini IPS — says the conversation goes beyond costumes or screen appearance.
