Peter Kay gatecrashed a live weather report during BBC North West Tonight on Wednesday (26 August). The comedian, 53, suddenly walked in front of the camera during Molly Brewer’s broadcast. The presenter was explaining that a yellow weather warning was in force for the following day when the Phoenix Nights star appeared on screen. Kay, who had been a guest on the programme, sat down and said: “Go on Molly, I’ll sit here, I’ll not disturb you.” Brewer carried on with her report, trying to contain her laughter. She gave Kay her clicker so he could change the on-screen graphics. Kay previously interrupted the late Dianne Oxberry’s report as she was presenting the forecast for BBC North West Tonight in 2011.
