Paris bans public drinking as heatwave overwhelms hospitals
Paris will ban public drinking and takeaway alcohol sales from Friday, after the city's police chief said hospital capacity in the capital is nearing a breaking point and fire brigade call-outs had doubled to over 2,500 on Thursday alone.
