Manickam Tagore appointed new Tamil Nadu Congress chief
Manickam Tagore has been appointed as the new President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, replacing K Selvaperunthagai. The announcement was made by AICC general secretary K C Venugopal. Tagore, a Lok Sabha MP from Virudhunagar, also holds responsibilities in Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Congress is a key ally of the ruling TVK party in Tamil Nadu.
