Maharashtra MLC polls: Rebel nominee defeats Sena in Nashik, BJP wins in Nanded, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Rebel BJP candidate Gokul Gite secured a surprise victory in the Nashik legislative council polls, defeating the ruling Shiv Sena nominee. BJP candidates also triumphed in Nanded, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalna, and Dharashiv-Latur-Beed constituencies. While six Mahayuti alliance candidates won unopposed, Gite's win in Nashik has raised questions, with Shiv Sena expressing doubts about the result. Counting for the remaining seats was underway.
