Davide, 31, began dating Iris Rabaya Au in 2024, a year after his split with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, who he won Love Island season eight with. Iris admitted to one count of subscribing a false tax return after agreeing to a plea deal in March 2025. She was accused of receiving more than $2.6million (£1.95million) linked to illicit funds, which were generated by her ex-partner Adam Iza. Online, Adam goes by The Godfather and is a self-styled cryptocurrency businessman. Similarly, the influencer calls herself The Goddess. Along with her 18-month prison sentence, she was ordered to pay $1.4million (£1million) in restitution. Her luxury bag collection also reportedly took a hit, with Iris handing over 14 Louis Vuitton handbags, three Chanel bags, as well as other designer brands such as Prada, Dior, Hermes, and Gucci. United States District Judge Percy Anderson handed down the sentence with Christopher Darden – a co-prosecutor in the OJ Simpson murder trial – defending Iris. Prosecutors said she had wilfully failed to declare over $2.6million (£1.96million) transfered into her personal acounts between 2020 and 2023 to the IRS. ‘[She] set up the financial infrastructure that enabled Adam Iza to move, spend, and conceal millions of dollars in fraud proceeds while she personally benefited from the wealth,’ the prosecution said. ‘Au concealed entities and income from her tax preparer and filed returns reporting only a small fraction of what she had actually received. Davide and Iris have been together since 2024 (Picture: Iris Au) ‘Those were affirmative acts designed to prevent the IRS from learning the true extent of her income.’ She stated that she was a victim of coercion in a video, saying she was in an ‘abusive relationship’ and had ‘made mistakes’ – but took ‘full responsibility’ for those. Before the trial, Davide vowed to stand by Iris and claimed he had known about the situation and been ‘protecting her’ all along. The pair were spotted leaving the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse, with the former reality star wrapping his arm around his influencer girlfriend. Authorities have said Iris acquired an estimated $16million (£12million) in cryptocurrency for her ex using shell accounts. Iris’ ex, Adam, has been in custody since 2024 and has admitted to fraudulent activities, including tax avoidance. He was said to have accessed and sold access to advertising accounts on Facebook, which he used to hide millions of dollars. Prosecutors also claimed he used the deputies to get search warrants and confidential information on people he had financial and personal disputes with. The fraudster used the money to bankroll luxuries like cars, properties, and jewellery to the tune of $10million (£7.49million). He pleaded guilty in January 2025 to one count of conspiracy against rights, one count of wire fraud and one count of tax evasion. Adam is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence over an attempted Bitcoin robbery and kidnapping in Connecticut two years ago.
