Jeffries reacts to Mamdani forcing out Democratic incumbents
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was asked by reporters if New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani had made enemies on Capitol Hill after the mayor endorsed the primary challengers of a pair of sitting Democratic incumbents in House races in New York. Mamdani’s preferred picks - Darializa Avila Chevalier and Brad Lander - beat out the sitting members - Adriano Espaillat and Dan Goldman, respectively - in primaries Tuesday night.
