India to keep buying Russian oil despite US waiver expiry; OMC losses still at Rs 750 crore/day
India will continue buying Russian crude oil despite the expiry of a temporary US sanctions waiver, with the government saying procurement decisions will be guided by commercial viability and energy security needs. Russian crude imports are expected to remain close to record levels at around 1.9 million barrels per day in May.
