Detect, disrupt, destroy: Amit Shah vows to dismantle drug trafficking ecosystem
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has declared a three-year mission to dismantle India's drug trafficking network, aiming for a decades-long impact. Employing a 'Detect, Disrupt and Destroy' strategy, the government will target the entire narco ecosystem. Key pillars include robust enforcement, intelligence gathering, precursor control, demand reduction, and rehabilitation efforts. A significant campaign to destroy seized narcotics worth over Rs 6,000 crore has also been launched.
