Chinese dissident’s 30-hour sea escape
Chinese dissident Dong Guangping escaped to South Korea by boat in a 30-hour sea voyage. It’s his fourth attempt at fleeing China to reunite with his family in Canada. Dong, who was previously imprisoned, is now in South Korean custody. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on the case when asked. CNN’s Ivan Watson reports.
