Chennai Super Kings have appointed former India pacer Zaheer Khan as head coach for IPL 2027, replacing Stephen Fleming after his 18-year association with the franchise. Fleming joined CSK as a player in 2008 and became head coach in 2009, overseeing five IPL titles, two Champions League T20 titles, 12 playoff appearances and 10 IPL finals. His tenure ended after CSK missed the playoffs for a third successive season. Zaheer brings experience from coaching and cricket-management roles with Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, as well as a distinguished playing career that included Indias 2011 World Cup triumph.
