The BJP has announced fresh candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Rajya Sabha elections, making significant changes to its parliamentary representation. The party has decided not to renominate eight sitting members, including senior leader Hardeep Singh Puri, along with B L Verma, Arun Singh, Geeta Shakya, Neeraj Shekhar, Brijlal, and Seema Dwivedi. This strategic shift coincides with retirements from opposition parties, including Samajwadi Party's Ram Gopal Yadav and BSP's Ramji Gautam, reshaping the political landscape in India's most populous state.
