Andhra Cabinet raises retirement age for PSUs; restores Old Pension Schemes for 11,000 employees
Andhra Pradesh employees in state PSUs, Gurukul schools, and welfare societies will now retire at 62, matching state government staff. Additionally, around 11,000 employees appointed before September 2004 will transition from the Contributory Pension Scheme to the Old Pension Scheme. This move aims to enhance post-retirement financial and social security for these workers, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assuring support for employee interests.
