30% of Japan's University Hospitals Have Admitted Women After Fetal Reduction Surgery, Survey Says
About 30% of university hospitals have admitted pregnant women who previously went to other facilities and received surgery to reduce the number of fetuses they are carrying, according to a survey by The Yomiuri Shimbun. At least 42 such women were admitted in total since 2020.
