World Bank approves $426 million for Bengaluru Water Security project

Bengaluru is set to receive a boost in its water security. The World Bank has approved USD 426 million for the Karnataka Water Security and Resilience Programme. This initiative aims to benefit over four million residents. It will revive 183 lakes and improve flood mitigation. The project includes upgrading water infrastructure and expanding sewage treatment.
