What is Jivitputrika (Jitiya Vrat) festival, in which 43 died, including 37 kids in Bihar?

At least 43 people, including 37 children, drowned and three others went missing during the 'Jivitputrika' festival in Bihar. The incidents occurred in 15 districts while participants took a holy dip. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an exgratia of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased, with eight families already receiving it.
