West Bengal govt earmarks land to set up GCC in Kolkata, says CM Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that land has been earmarked for a global capability centre in Kolkata's semiconductor sector. Discussions with the US Consul General were held, and the project is expected to generate significant employment. A roadmap will be created in January, following a proposal from the state government.
