West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged junior doctors to end their hunger strike as most demands had been fulfilled. She requested more time for the remaining demands. The doctors have been on hunger strike for 15 days over workplace security issues. They warned of a statewide strike on October 22 if demands are not met.
