Watch: Lord Peter Mandelson returns home after being released on bail pending further investigation

Lord Peter Mandelson was filmed returning to his London home, after he was released on bail following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The former Labour minister has been accused of passing sensitive information to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein during his time as business secretary. Allegations over his ties with the disgraced billionaire emerged following the publication of the latest batch of so-called Epstein files. Lord Mandelson has previously denied any wrongdoing. In a statement issued early Tuesday morning (24 February), a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A 72-year-old man arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office has been released on bail pending further investigation.”
