Wankhede Stadium’s new icons: Stands to be renamed after Rohit Sharma, Ajit Wadekar, Sharad Pawar

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has approved the renaming of three stands and a lounge at Wankhede Stadium to honour Rohit Sharma, Ajit Wadekar, Sharad Pawar, and Amol Kale. The move was announced during MCAs 86th Annual General Meeting. The decision highlights the legacy of Mumbais cricket legends and administrators, with each having played a pivotal role in shaping Indian cricket. MCA also increased its club corpus fund to ₹75 crore, aiming to invest more in grassroots development.
