Valmiki Corporation Scam: HC rejects Union Bank’s plea for CBI probe

The Karnataka High Court rejected the Union Bank of India's plea for a CBI investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds from the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation. The bank sought the probe after discovering unauthorized transfers totaling Rs 89.63 crore, of which only Rs 5 crore has been recovered.
