Uttarakhand to implement Uniform Civil Code today
Uttarakhand will implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) from January 27, 2025, becoming the first state in India to do so. The code aims to bring uniformity in personal civil laws, eliminating discrimination based on caste, religion, and gender, as per Article 44 of the Constitution.
