Uttarakhand govt set to bring new land laws to keep check on purchase by non-residents

The Uttarakhand government plans to introduce a stringent land purchase law to control large-scale land acquisitions in hilly areas. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the government will identify and reclaim land illegally acquired by non-residents.
