US stocks open lower as investors await economic data, Powell's comments
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 77.94 points, a 0.18% dip, landing at 42,235.06. The S&P 500 wasn't far behind, shedding 0.20% or 11.43 points to start at 5,726.74. The Nasdaq Composite took the biggest hit, falling 44.76 points, a 0.25% decrease, to open at 18,074.83.
