US State Dept. appoints official to handle case of US-Palestinian teen held in Israeli prison

Mohammed Ibrahim, jailed for stone-throwing since February, is set to meet the new State Department official next week amid calls for his release. The US State Department has reportedly appointed a dedicated official to handle the case of a dual national American-Palestinian teenager who has been held in an Israeli military prison for over seven months, The Guardian first reported on Saturday.
