US-Iran tensions: America places military assets in the Middle East

America has significantly increased its military might in the Middle East. The USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier has entered the Mediterranean Sea, joining the USS Abraham Lincoln. This deployment brings the total number of US warships in the region to seventeen. Dozens of advanced warplanes, including stealth fighters, are also in position. Land-based air defenses have been bolstered.
