US FDA says 75 people taken ill from McDonald's E.coli outbreak

The U.S. FDA reported an E.coli outbreak linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounders, infecting 75 people and causing one death. The CDC noted that the outbreak resulted in 49 illnesses and 10 hospitalizations, with 22 confirmed hospitalizations including two severe cases. McDonald's has removed the item from menus in affected states.
