UP Cabinet approves inland waterways authority; to boost water transport, tourism

The Uttar Pradesh government will establish an inland waterways authority to advance water transport and tourism, following Cabinet approval. The authority, overseeing 11 national waterways in the state, aims to ease transportation pressures. Additionally, high-spec tablets will be provided to primary school teachers, and the trauma center at King George's Medical University will be expanded.
