Union home secretary to review preparations for civil defence mock drills

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan will review preparations for a nationwide civil defence exercise in response to rising tensions with Pakistan after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The exercise, scheduled for May 7 across 244 districts, includes mock drills with air-raid sirens, bunker cleaning, civilian training, crash-blackout measures, and coordination with the Indian Air Force.
