Union Cabinet approves subsidy worth ₹24,475 crore on nutrient-based fertilizers

The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹24,475 crore subsidy for phosphatic and potassic fertilizers to aid farmers during the rabi season. Effective from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, this move aims to provide fertilizers at reasonable prices amidst global market fluctuations. The subsidy will cover 28 grades of these fertilizers.
