Union Budget 2025: Key announcements on infrastructure, AI, & urban reforms

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in the Union Budget for 2025-26, announced Rs 1.5 lakh crore in 50-year interest-free loans for state infrastructure projects and a Rs 10 lakh crore asset monetisation plan. Additionally, Rs 500 crore will establish an AI Centre of Excellence for education, while the Jal Jeevan Mission's outlay will increase to ensure household water supply coverage.
