Uniform Civil Code to be implemented nationwide, including Assam, says Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that after Uttarakhand implements the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), it will be enforced across India and subsequently in Assam. The state assembly passed bills to regulate Muslim marriage registration and plans to ban polygamy. The government has received widespread support for these legislative changes.
