UN peacekeepers in Lebanon urge immediate de-escalation

The U.N. peacekeeping force in south Lebanon has called for de-escalation after a significant rise in hostilities at the Lebanese-Israeli border. Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire for nearly a year, with recent Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon being the most intense yet, causing numerous casualties and damage.
