UN officials urge Bangladesh to protect minorities from attacks

United Nations experts urged Bangladesh's interim government to protect the Jumma Peoples and investigate recent violence in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. They called for implementing the 1997 CHT Peace Accords and allowing the UN to monitor human rights. Social media companies were also asked to prevent hate speech against Indigenous Jumma Peoples.
