Uddhav Thackeray's Sena ditches Congress, NCP; To go solo in local polls

The Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Sena will contest local body elections in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Nagpur independently. They aim to expand the party and provide opportunities to grassroot workers. Congress plans to request Uddhav Thackeray to reconsider, but will ally with the NCP if the UBT does not change its decision.
