Two killed in gun battle outside Israeli consulate in Istanbul

A fierce gun battle erupted outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul. Police engaged attackers for nearly ten minutes. Reports indicate two assailants were killed and one critically wounded. Two police personnel also sustained injuries during the prolonged exchange of fire. The incident occurred in a high-security area. No Israeli diplomats are currently stationed in Turkey.
