Trump unveils $5 million Gold, Platinum visas, plans to replace the existing green card system

President Donald Trump on Friday signed an executive order creating a new visa program aimed at attracting wealthy individuals and businesses to the United States. Under the plan, foreign nationals can pay $1 million for a “Trump Gold Card,” which provides US residency following a $15,000 vetting fee and background checks. “They’re going to spend a lot of money to come in. It’s going to raise billions of dollars, billions and billions of dollars, which is going to go to reduce taxes, pay off debt and for other good things,” Trump said in the Oval Office.
