Toxic threat: East Delhi's air loaded with excessive heavy metals, reports study

A new study in the International Journal of Environmental Studies revealed heavy metals like chromium, copper, zinc, molybdenum, and lead in PM2.5 particles in East Delhi and other regions. The highest Heavy Metal Exposure Index (HEI) was recorded in Ludhiana post-lockdown. The study highlighted the health risks associated with these pollutants.
