Tirupati temple stampede: Andhra govt announces Rs 25 lakh ex-gratia for victims

Tirupati stampede: The Andhra Pradesh government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh for each family of the six devotees who died in a stampede in Tirupati. The incident happened as devotees jostled for tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam. Nearly 40 people were also injured. Revenue Minister Satya Prasad confirmed the announcement.
