Tirupati Laddu row: SC forms independent SIT probe, says this shouldn't turn into political drama

The Supreme Court ordered an independent investigation into allegations that animal fat was used in the preparation of laddus served as prasadam at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. The court mandated the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) consisting of two CBI officers, two Andhra Pradesh police officers, and a senior officer from FSSAI, supervised by a CBI director.
