The spirit of new Bharat: Attitudes towards living in the West versus India may be changing

We are used to hearing hair-raising stories of migration westwards, despite the enormous cost and strain. But here was a quiet girl who embarked on a 40+ hour journey, alone, pregnant and nauseous, to get back to her son and the familiar comforts of home in Moga, leaving behind Canada's "charms". She was as clear-eyed about the "merits" of the West as the advantages of home and booked the trip back business class. Chapeau, as they say in Canada.
