The Oman Collection: Unveiling Indian diaspora tales

India's National Archives is chronicling the lives of Indian diaspora in Oman through an oral history project. This effort began in May, digitizing records and gathering oral histories from 32 families, documenting their trade journeys, cultural integration, and societal contributions. Over 7,000 documents and interviews highlight their legacy and influence from the 19th century onwards.
