Tesla European car sales plummet 45% YoY: Is Elon Musk’s support for Donald Trump backfiring?

Amid Elon Musk's growing involvement in European political affairs, his company Tesla has experienced a significant decline in sales across the continent, selling just 9,945 vehicles in January 2025, a 45% drop compared to the same period last year, when it sold 18,161 units. Musk recently endorsed Germanys far-right AfD party during the national elections.
