Tennessee school board member tells student ‘God, you’re hot’ during public meeting

This is the moment a Tennessee school board member called a student “hot” during a public recorded meeting. The incident was captured on the Washington County Board of Education livestream on April 2. The student can be seen conversing with the superintendent before member Keith Ervin touches her arm and says “God, you’re hot. Do you know that?” before pulling her in for a hug. “Where do you go to school at?” Ervin asks. Laughter can be heard throughout the room before the meeting continues on. Outraged members of the community are now calling for the removal of Ervin, who has argued that the video was taken out of context. He claimed he was complimenting the student on the questions she asked. The Washington County BOE has scheduled an emergency for Wednesday, 8 April, to address the incident.
