Telangana to restart historic airport near Hyderabad next year after over four decades

Mamnoor Airport in Warangal is expected to open by the end of 2024, becoming the first of six planned airports in Telangana. The government is acquiring additional land and rehabilitating households for the project. Other airports in Adilabad and Nizamabad are also progressing, while plans for Bhadrachalam face challenges due to terrain, and those for Devarakadra and Basanthnagar are on hold.
