Teen armed with shotgun attempts to board plane near Melbourne; tackled by passengers
The incident occurred at the Avalon airport. Describing the sequence of events, a police official said the teenager was already on the staircase connected to the front of the plane when they realised he was carrying a firearm. The minor had sneaked in undetected by security through to a hole in the fence.
