Supreme Court refers Teesta Setalvad's plea for release of passport to 3-judge bench

The Supreme Court has sent activist Teesta Setalvad's plea for her passport release to a three-judge bench. Her passport was deposited in court as a bail condition. Setalvad was granted bail in a case related to alleged fabrication of documents concerning the 2002 Gujarat riots. The court previously termed the Gujarat High Court's denial of bail as perverse.
